The 17 “Sustainable Development Goals” of the United Nations have not yet sunken completely into the public consciousness. Nonetheless, the so-called SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals, should be the guidelines that determine global action by the year 2030. 193 countries around the world have already committed to doing so – but still, somebody has to start acting. This is where the people in the communities and in the cities are in demand. Heidelberg is keen on driving this topic forward and is currently discussing how to succeed optimally with this challenge.
